Spicy Strawberry Nut Loaf

                                                        2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
                                                        3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
                                                        2 cups sugar
                                                        1 tsp. salt
                                                        1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 eggs, beaten
1-1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup pecans, chopped

In a large bowl sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda, spices. In a separate smaller bowl blend eggs and oil, then gradually stir into dry ingredients alternately with strawberries. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into 2 greased, floured pans. Bake in preheated 350 deg. oven 45-50 minutes.
